Mumbai-based Hariva Meditech has proposed an investment of ₹200 crore to establish a manufacturing facility for critical care and medical technology products at the Ujjain Medical Devices Park in Madhya Pradesh.
The facility will manufacture advanced healthcare equipment, including continuous glucose monitoring systems, vacuum-assisted wound closure devices, anaesthesia products, and related consumables. The company has sought around 20 acres of land for the project, which is expected to generate employment for approximately 650 people. The proposal has received in-principle approval for land allotment, enabling it to move toward execution.
In addition to Hariva Meditech, several other companies are setting up operations at the park. CliniSupplies India will manufacture catheters and related devices, while VRM Molecular and Nuclear Medicines will focus on specialised medical formulations. HC Lifeline plans to produce syringes and cannulas, and KRM Healthcare will manufacture diagnostic kits. Maple Technologies will develop women’s healthcare devices, while Shreeji Polymers Medical Devices will produce insulin devices and spray pumps.
MPIDC Executive Director Rajesh Rathod noted that, alongside new proposals, multiple companies that have already been allotted land are in advanced stages of project development. Several of these units are expected to become operational within the current financial year, translating into on-ground production and job creation.
