Havells Plugs Into Solar: ₹600 Crore Investment in Goldi Solar

Havells India, a leading player in the fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) space, has announced a strategic minority investment of ₹600 crore in Goldi Solar. This move is part of Goldi’s larger ₹1,300 crore fundraising plan, expected to conclude within the next 75 days.

The investment marks a significant step in Havells’ transition toward renewable energy, aligning with its broader focus on energy generation, storage, distribution, and consumption. Through this collaboration, Havells aims to diversify its portfolio and play a larger role in India’s clean energy ecosystem.

The partnership is set to unlock synergies for the development of integrated solar solutions, supporting faster adoption of renewable technologies nationwide. With India’s renewable energy capacity projected to grow at a CAGR of 16% to reach 500 GW by 2030—of which solar is expected to contribute 300 GW—Havells’ strategic move positions it well in a rapidly expanding sector.
