Reliance is spearheading the establishment of India's pioneering carbon fibre facility at Hazira in Gujarat, marking a significant stride in sustainable development. The ambitious initiative, unveiled at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, underscores Reliance's commitment to cutting-edge investments.
Over the past decade, Reliance has channeled a staggering USD 150 billion (12 lakh crore) into the creation of state-of-the-art assets and capacities throughout India. Remarkably, more than one-third of this substantial investment has been dedicated to the progressive state of Gujarat.
In a forward-looking move, Reliance aims to fulfill 50% of Gujarat's energy requirements through renewable sources by 2030, aligning with its broader vision to position Gujarat as a global leader in eco-friendly growth.
Simultaneously, the company is advancing the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex, sprawling across 5,000 acres in Jamnagar. Beyond generating employment opportunities, this monumental complex is poised to manufacture green products and materials, positioning Gujarat as a prominent exporter of sustainable goods. Anticipated to commence operations in the latter half of 2024, this endeavor reflects Reliance's steadfast commitment to driving positive environmental change and fostering economic growth.
