HBL Engineering Limited has announced that it has received a Letter of Acceptance from Banaras Locomotive Works for a contract valued at ₹179.79 crore.
The order entails the supply, testing, and commissioning of onboard KAVACH equipment (Version 4.0), an advanced railway safety system, for the locomotive manufacturer. The project is scheduled to be completed on or before February 15, 2027, the company said.
This contract is part of HBL Engineering’s domestic operations focused on the deployment of KAVACH systems across Indian Railways’ locomotive fleet. Earlier in February, the company secured another major order from Banaras Locomotive Works worth ₹800.36 crore for KAVACH Version 4.0, further reinforcing its role in strengthening rail safety infrastructure in India.
