HCLTech is officially entering the AI data center market with a board-approved investment of up to ₹3,500 crore. The tech giant plans to build AI-ready, full-stack data centers across India, launching with an initial capacity of 50 MW. CEO C Vijayakumar noted that the company will merge its expertise in data center design with its software portfolio to deliver comprehensive AI infrastructure. HCLTech is already in advanced talks with prospective clients, with a portion of the capacity expected to be committed soon, driven by the rapid enterprise shift toward advanced AI-powered computing.
