HDFC Capital and DPIIT Partner to Boost Startup Innovation

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HDFC Capital Advisors to foster innovation and support startups in the affordable housing and PropTech sectors.

This collaboration aligns with the broader national vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat@2047, reinforcing DPIIT’s focus on building an inclusive, innovation-driven startup ecosystem. At the heart of the initiative is the H@ART Programme (HDFC Affordable Real Estate and Technology Programme), an HDFC Capital initiative aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs across the residential real estate development cycle.

The programme will:

Connect startups with a wide network of affordable housing developers, Facilitate strategic investments in emerging PropTech ventures, Offer mentorship and incubation support through accelerators, academic institutions, and investor networks

The MoU marks a significant step toward institutionalising public-private collaboration to create a resilient, future-ready innovation ecosystem within India's real estate and housing sector.
