Healing the Earth: Varanasi’s Bio-Remediation Tender

Varanasi Nagar Nigam has released a tender to select an agency for the bioremediation of legacy waste at an old dumpsite through bio-mining and resource recovery.

The project involves screening, segregation, and land reclamation of the existing dumpsite, aiming to tackle environmental concerns and enhance waste management practices. The chosen agency will implement advanced bio-mining techniques to recover usable materials and restore the land.

This initiative supports Varanasi’s commitment to environmental sustainability and improved urban spaces, contributing to effective waste management and sustainable urban development. The project is slated for completion within 24 months of contract allotment.

Bid submission closes on 19 January 2026.
