In a major push to blend historical preservation with modern urban growth, the Telangana government has approved five infrastructure and tourism projects for Warangal valued at ₹382 crore.
Announcing the decision, Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) Chairperson Gundu Sudharani extended thanks to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for prioritizing the city’s development. Key components of the master plan include restoring the historic Kakatiya-era fort moats to boost heritage tourism, constructing the Hanamkonda Central Plaza to enhance public spaces, and building a state-of-the-art integrated bus terminal. Successful completion of the vision will rely on smooth funding allocation and adherence to project timelines.
