Himachal’s Dairy Drive: New MoU to Tech-Up Milk Processing

The Himachal Pradesh government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to strengthen the state’s dairy sector. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the agreement will help expand milk processing capacity and generate new employment opportunities for farmers.

The MoU, signed in Shimla, aims to introduce advanced technology in milk processing and bio-products while upgrading the state’s dairy infrastructure.

Sukhu noted that the state had earlier partnered with NDDB in 2023 for the Dagwar dairy project. “The initial MoU focused on bringing modern technology for milk processing and bio-products. This new agreement is intended to ensure efficient operations at the Dagwar plant and enhance milk processing units with computerized quality control,” he said.
