The State Network Operations Center (S-NOC) has officially commenced operations in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, as part of the BharatNet Phase-III Project, in collaboration with BSNL.
As part of this initiative, ITI Ltd. will connect 3,615 gram panchayats to 91 block headquarters using 10 Gbps bandwidth, integrating with BSNL’s IP-MPLS Ring Network. This high-capacity backbone will extend connectivity to 15,538 villages across the state, with the deployment of nearly 20,000 km of optical fiber cable (OFC).
The S-NOC will function as a centralized command center to monitor, manage, and ensure the performance, security, and availability of the state’s network infrastructure.
“This project will enable the delivery of high-speed broadband services to rural areas,” said Rajesh Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of ITI Ltd. “Once completed, it will enhance connectivity and make Internet services easily accessible in every village, promoting education, healthcare, business, and e-governance.”
