The induction furnace for melting scrap metal and the hot charge rolling mill for direct feeding of molten steel are part of the expansion project in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in the Mill Siltara Industrial Growth Centre. The effort seeks to meet rising demand in building and infrastructure with 158,400 tonnes of M.S. billets and 150,480 tonnes of rerolled steel products.18
