HPCL and ADNOC Gas Forge 10-Year LNG Supply Deal

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) has signed a Heads of Agreement (HoA) with Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (ALNG), a subsidiary of ADNOC Gas, for the long-term supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) over a 10-year period.

LNG deliveries under the agreement will be received at HPCL’s newly commissioned Chhara LNG Terminal in Gujarat, supporting fuel requirements for the company’s refineries, city gas distribution networks, and downstream marketing operations.

ADNOC Gas, a leading integrated gas processing and sales entity, operates across the full gas value chain, and this partnership strengthens HPCL’s position in securing reliable, cleaner energy sources.

HPCL described the agreement as a key milestone in enhancing India’s energy security and advancing the country’s transition toward a low-carbon energy mix.

HPCL currently operates two major refineries, holds equity stakes in HMEL and MRPL, and manages an expansive energy infrastructure, including:

Nearly 24,000 retail outlets, Over 6,000 LPG distributorships, Import and bottling terminals, More than 5,000 km of pipeline network
