Hyundai Motor India Engineering Pvt Ltd. (HMIE), the Indian subsidiary of South Korean automotive giant Hyundai, has announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art Mega Test Centre in Telangana. The facility will include an automotive test track and a manufacturing unit dedicated to test vehicles, including electric models.
The announcement followed a meeting in Seoul between Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Hyundai officials. Chief Minister Reddy, accompanied by the IT and Industries Minister, is on a four-day visit to South Korea to attract investments to the state.
The Mega Test Centre is anticipated to bring a significant influx of affiliates and suppliers to Telangana, creating both direct and indirect employment opportunities. Additionally, HMIE's engineering centre in Hyderabad is set to expand, further boosting job creation in the region.
Hyundai officials emphasized the importance of the Indian market, highlighting their commitment to developing cutting-edge products and technologies tailored for Indian consumers.
This initiative marks a significant investment in Telangana's industrial landscape, reinforcing the state's growing reputation as a hub for automotive innovation and manufacturing.
