The Water Resources Department, Rajasthan has issued a tender worth ₹106.59 crore for the reconstruction of watercourses under the Indira Gandhi Canal Project (IGNP) Stage I, covering the stretch from NDR RD 0 to 29.
Project Highlights:
Scope of Work: Includes reconstruction activities involving MST, MSTSM, MD, RP, LK, RK, NGC, and DO for IGF and IGMN across RD 0 to 60 in the R/S S and I Lift Sub Division 4th IGNP Hanumangarh (P5).
Objective: To improve water management, boost irrigation efficiency, and promote sustainable agriculture in Rajasthan’s arid and semi-arid regions.
Completion Timeline: 30 months from the date of commencement.

This project is a key part of efforts to modernize the Indira Gandhi Canal infrastructure, ensuring better water conservation and distribution to support agricultural productivity in the region.
