Indore Connects: Tilak Nagar's Expanded Road Network.

The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has launched a road construction initiative in Tilak Nagar to accelerate the development of a masterplan road, following a court directive. As part of the project, the boundary wall of a private school was removed to free up land, and four additional plots have been acquired.

The new 750-meter stretch will connect Tilak Nagar to Ring Road, reducing congestion on Kanadia Road and benefiting residents of multiple colonies. It will also eliminate the need for a detour via Mahaveer Nagar. Additionally, IMC has proposed an extended route from Tilak Nagar to Badi Gwaltoli to enhance connectivity.

A ₹2.5 crore work order has been issued for the project, covering concrete road construction, stormwater drainage, footpaths, and electric pole relocation. Officials highlight that this alternative route will help ease traffic on Anand Bazaar Road and LIG Link Road, improving access between Ring Road and AB Road.
