Inox Wind Chooses Koppal for Major ₹400 Crore Manufacturing Hub

Inox Wind, a leading manufacturer of wind turbine generators and components, has announced plans to invest ₹400 crore in setting up a new manufacturing facility at Kyadigoppa Industrial Area, Kushtagi taluk, in Koppal district, Karnataka.

The project will be developed in two phases, with an initial investment of ₹300 crore, followed by ₹100 crore in the second phase. Supported by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB), the facility is expected to generate approximately 1,000 direct jobs, according to Large and Medium Industries Minister M. B. Patil.

The site was strategically chosen for its proximity to the National Highway, which is critical for transporting large components such as turbine blades and towers. Although Vijayapura district was initially considered, the plan was shifted to Koppal due to the unavailability of suitable industrial land near the highway in that region.

The upcoming plant will manufacture wind turbine towers, blades, and pillars, further strengthening Karnataka’s position in the renewable energy manufacturing sector.
