IRB Infrastructure Trust has emerged as the preferred bidder for the National Highways Authority of India’s (NHAI) TOT-18 concession, which covers the tolling, operation, maintenance, and transfer of the 74.5-km Chandikhole–Bhadrak stretch of NH-16 in Odisha.
Under the concession, the trust will pay an upfront fee of ₹3,087 crore to NHAI upon achieving financial closure. The project has a concession period of 20 years, with revenues linked to toll collections. IRB Infrastructure Developers will serve as the project manager for the asset.
This win marks IRB’s entry into its 13th state and its second project in eastern India, following its asset on NH-19 in West Bengal. The TOT-18 corridor forms part of the Golden Quadrilateral network, further strengthening the IRB Group’s footprint in the toll-operate-transfer (TOT) segment.
