IRM Energy has entered into a five-year agreement with Shell Energy India for the supply of regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG). This strategic deal strengthens IRM Energy’s sourcing capabilities, ensuring stable and cost-effective gas supply for industrial and commercial consumers.
Under the contract, IRM Energy will procure 1.23 crore MMBtu of RLNG, approximately 326.84 mmscm at 9,500 k/cal gross calorific value (GCV). The partnership enhances RLNG availability, enabling IRM Energy to provide reliable and affordable energy solutions.
“This agreement secures a steady and economical gas supply for our industrial and commercial customers, reinforcing our commitment to reliability and efficiency in the gas sector,” the company stated.
By collaborating with Shell, a global LNG leader, IRM Energy aims to strengthen its position in delivering cleaner fuel solutions while supporting India’s energy security and sustainability goals. CEO Manoj Kumar Sharma described the agreement as a milestone in advancing sustainable and cost-efficient energy solutions.
