Nara Lokesh, Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, performed the Bhoomi Pooja at IT Hills, Visakhapatnam, inaugurating several major IT and electronics investments in the region.
The projects, led by companies including Sails Software Solutions, iSpace Software Solutions, Tech Tammina, Phenom People, and World Trade Center, are expected to generate 30,000 direct jobs. The firms plan a combined investment of Rs 3,800 crore, reinforcing Visakhapatnam’s emergence as a key hub for IT and electronics.
Highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s “Speed of Doing Business,” Lokesh noted growing global interest from companies like Google and ArcelorMittal. He emphasized the state government’s mission to create 20 lakh jobs, with a focus on industrial and technological development. The city’s transformation into a major AI and IT center is a priority, supported by infrastructure projects such as the Bhogapuram International Airport, slated for completion in 2026.
