ITI Limited, India’s premier telecom manufacturer and first post-independence PSU, has been awarded a ₹856.39 crore contract by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to expand 4G network infrastructure in West India. This turnkey project involves the end-to-end deployment of 7,613 sites, reinforcing the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision for indigenous telecom technology.
Building on the successful execution of a previous ₹2,640-crore project—delivered in partnership with TCS—this new order encompasses network planning, supply, installation, and integration, including saturation sites under the Digital Bharat Nidhi initiative. CMD Rajesh Rai noted that the contract underscores BSNL's trust in ITI’s execution expertise. Currently, ITI is also spearheading critical Bharatnet Phase III projects worth ₹7,000 crore across various regions in India.
