Jakson Solar’s ₹5,000 Cr Green Energy Gambit

Jakson Solar is accelerating its clean energy manufacturing footprint with a strategic investment of up to ₹5,000 crore to establish 3 GW of solar cell and 3 GW of ingot-wafer production capacity. According to Managing Director Ivan Saha, the company targets December 2027 for the operational rollout of its solar cell facility, followed by the sequential setup of ingot and wafer manufacturing.

Having already secured key equipment procurement tie-ups, the project will expand upon Jakson Solar’s active 1.2 GW module plant. The move directly supports India’s policy mandates—including domestic content requirements for cells, modules, and ingots/wafers set for June 2028—designed to fortify the nation's renewable supply chain.
