Japanese Titans Land Near Noida Airport: ₹900 Cr. Investment Surge

Two leading Japanese companies, Kyowa Leather Cloth Company and Meira Corporation, have sought 10-acre land parcels each from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to establish manufacturing units near Noida International Airport.

Together, the firms plan to invest around ₹900 crore in the region. Kyowa, a global supplier of synthetic leather, intends to form a joint venture with India’s Krishna Group to produce high-quality automotive interior materials for clients such as Maruti Suzuki and Toyota. Meira Corporation, meanwhile, will set up a precision bolt manufacturing plant to supply fasteners for Escorts Kubota’s upcoming tractor facility.

These proposed investments underscore the growing appeal of the Yamuna Expressway region to Japanese manufacturers, particularly in the automotive and precision engineering sectors. YEIDA is also developing dedicated industrial clusters—‘Japanese City’ and ‘Korean City’—to attract global manufacturers and foster international industrial ecosystems.
