Jihe Kathapur: Bids Open for Irrigation Landmark

The Water Resources Department (WRD), Maharashtra, has invited bids for the development of key infrastructure under the Main Jihe Kathapur Lift Irrigation Scheme No. 02, implemented as part of the Guruvarya Late Laxmanrao Inamdar Lift Irrigation Scheme (GLLILIS).

The scope of work includes the construction of headworks, pump houses, switchyards, rising mains, and a delivery chamber, along with the supply and installation of pumping machinery. The project entails comprehensive civil, mechanical, and electrical works to be carried out in three phases, covering the complete irrigation system. Once completed, the scheme is expected to enhance water distribution efficiency and support agricultural development in the region.

The project is scheduled for completion within a period of 48 months. Bid submissions will close on 20 January 2026.
