The USD 24 billion JSW Group has forged a significant triparty memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) and Sharika Smartec. This collaboration aims to establish the JSW Center of Excellence (JSW-COE) for Smart Grid technologies at the MSRIT campus in Bengaluru. The partnership is set to revolutionize the field of flexible power systems through innovative solutions.
Under this MOU, the JSW Group will finance the JSW-COE, while MSRIT will be responsible for setting up and hosting the center. Sharika Smartec, a technical consultancy specializing in Smart Grid Technologies, will act as the knowledge partner, providing essential support for the center's establishment, operation, and maintenance.
The JSW-COE will serve as a premier platform for research, training, and development in power systems. It will offer advanced learning modules, including 'Lab as a Service,' catering to the next generation of engineering professionals. Additionally, the center will support startups with testing and consultative services, fostering innovation and development in the sector.
Located at M S Ramaiah Nagar in Bengaluru, the center aims to drive advancements in AI, deep learning, big data, blockchain, networking, and automation. These technologies are crucial for addressing the increasing demand for innovative interventions in power and energy systems.
