JSW Infra Unit Wins ₹63 Cr Gati Shakti Project

Navkar Corporation, a subsidiary of JSW Infrastructure, has received a Letter of Acceptance from Central Railway for the development of a Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal (GCT) at Somathane.

The project will be executed entirely on railway land under the Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal policy and has been awarded by the Mumbai division of Central Railway, as disclosed by JSW Infrastructure in a regulatory filing.

As per the agreement, Navkar is required to commence construction within three months of obtaining the necessary approvals and complete the project within 18 months. The railway land will be licensed to the company for a period of 35 years.

The estimated value of the contract is approximately ₹63.21 crore, subject to variation based on final contractual terms.

Navkar Corporation stated that the new cargo terminal will significantly strengthen its logistics infrastructure and enhance its integrated cargo handling capabilities. The expansion is expected to improve service offerings and further reinforce the company’s presence in the region.
