JSW Neo Energy Wins 600 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project in Maharashtra

JSW Neo Energy, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has secured a significant letter of award (LoA) for a 600 MW wind-solar hybrid power project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). This includes an additional 400 MW under the greenshoe option, marking a substantial expansion in JSW Neo’s energy portfolio.

The new project will advance JSW Neo’s shift towards comprehensive energy solutions, enhancing its capabilities in renewable energy. With this award, JSW Neo’s total locked-in generation capacity now stands at 18.2 GW, including a 3.8 GW hybrid capacity. The company is targeting an installed generation capacity of 10 GW by FY25, up from the current 7.5 GW.

JSW Energy’s overall locked-in generation capacity encompasses wind, thermal, and hydro projects in various stages, along with a renewable energy (RE) pipeline of 8.3 GW. The company is also committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, aligning with its broader sustainability goals.

This latest project underscores JSW Energy's growing influence in the renewable sector and its commitment to expanding its green energy footprint while supporting Maharashtra's energy needs.
