JSW Neo Energy Wins Major Solar and Storage Contracts

JSW Neo Energy has secured a major milestone with a new contract for a 500 MW solar project connected to the interstate transmission system (ISTS), alongside a significant 250 MW/500 MWh energy storage system. This achievement comes from a competitive bidding process organized by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), which sought proposals for 1,200 MW of ISTS-connected solar power along with 600 MW/1,200 MWh of energy storage.

The letter of award (LoA) confirms JSW Neo, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, as a key player in the renewable energy sector. In addition to this, JSW Neo has also received another LoA from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development (KREDL) for a 300 MW solar project at the Pavagada Solar Park in Karnataka. This latest success boosts the company's total generation capacity to 16 GW and its energy storage capacity to 4.2 GWh.

Looking ahead, JSW Neo Energy anticipates achieving an installed generation capacity of 10 GW by FY25. The company has set ambitious goals to reach 20 GW in generation capacity and 40 GWh in energy storage by 2030, solidifying its position as a leader in the clean energy transition.
