Kalahandi Water Mega-Project: ₹285 Cr. ISS Tender

The Water Resources Department (WRD) of Odisha has floated a tender for the construction of an In-Stream Storage Structure (ISS) at Belgaon (Amath) across the River Tel in Kalahandi district.

Valued at ₹285.24 crore, the project includes hydro-mechanical works, as well as provisions for power supply and road connectivity. The scope covers a full range of activities including survey, investigation, planning, and design. Following successful commissioning, the selected contractor will also be responsible for operation and maintenance of the structure for five years or five flood seasons, whichever is longer.

This initiative is part of the state’s broader efforts to strengthen water resource management and irrigation infrastructure, with the goal of improving agricultural productivity and flood control in the region.

The bid submission deadline is 27 October 2025.
