Kanoria Chemicals & Industries (KCI) has inaugurated two state-of-the-art manufacturing plants at its GIDC Ankleshwar site in Gujarat. The new facilities are set to significantly enhance the company’s production capabilities in key chemical sectors.
The first of the two plants is a hexamine facility, which doubles KCI's production capacity to 36 tonnes per day (tpd). This plant utilizes environmentally-responsible indigenous technology, aligning with the company's commitment to sustainable operations.
The second facility is a formaldehyde plant with a capacity of 345 tpd, increasing KCI's total formaldehyde output to 763 tpd. This plant employs a metal oxide-based mechanism, ensuring efficient and high-quality production.
These expansions are strategically aimed at meeting the rising demand in industries such as pharmaceuticals, rubber, textiles, and agrochemicals. The increased capacity will enable KCI to better serve both domestic and international markets, solidifying its position as a key player in the chemical industry.
KCI acknowledges the supportive policies of the Gujarat state government as instrumental in bringing these projects to fruition, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth trajectory.
