Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has announced a ₹1,100 crore investment to improve road infrastructure across Bengaluru, focusing on pothole elimination, road repairs, and new construction.
To ensure balanced development, ₹50 crore will be allocated to each of the 14 major assembly constituencies, and ₹25 crore to the remaining constituencies. The funding will support both upgradation of existing roads and development of new stretches citywide.
The move addresses rising public demand for improved road conditions, reduced traffic congestion, and enhanced commuter safety. It underscores the state government’s commitment to urban infrastructure and quality-of-life improvements in Karnataka’s capital.
