"Karnataka's Sparkling Future: Net-Zero Jewellery Park Takes Flight"

Karnataka has unveiled plans to develop a net-zero Jewellery Park near Kempegowda International Airport to boost the state’s jewellery export sector.

Speaking at the Jewellery Expo on Friday, MB Patil, Minister of Large and Medium Industries, emphasized the government’s willingness to allocate land for the project and urged industrialists to invest in the thriving sector.

“Karnataka continues to be a premier hub for jewellery manufacturing and exports, offering world-class infrastructure, progressive policies, and a highly skilled workforce. The Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery in Udupi has played a key role in training artisans to support industry growth,” Patil stated.

India’s jewellery industry records annual transactions worth $32 billion, with major export markets including the US, UAE, Russia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Underscoring Karnataka’s potential, Patil assured that the state government would provide full support to drive investment and expansion in jewellery manufacturing and exports.
