Kaynes Technology, a leading electronics manufacturing services firm, is set to inaugurate a state-of-the-art electronics unit at Kongara Kalan, Telangana, on August 23, 2024. The development comes after the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government in October last year. With an investment of ₹2,850 crore, this facility marks a significant milestone in Kaynes’ expansion strategy.
The new unit will focus on advanced services, including the manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other critical electronic components. This investment is expected to enhance Kaynes’ manufacturing capabilities and solidify its position in the competitive electronics sector.
In addition to its Telangana project, Kaynes Technology is also making strides in other regions. The company is planning to establish a highly sophisticated Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) unit in Sanand, Gujarat, for which it has already acquired the necessary land. This move is part of Kaynes' broader strategy to tap into India's burgeoning semiconductor industry.
Kaynes has also submitted its application for the chip project in Gujarat under the government's ₹76,000-crore semiconductor incentive scheme. This aligns with India's ambitions to become a global hub for electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.
The inauguration of the Kongara Kalan unit not only reinforces Kaynes’ commitment to advancing India’s electronics manufacturing sector but also reflects its strategic vision to expand into high-tech areas like semiconductor manufacturing.
