Snowman Logistics Limited, one of India’s leading providers of integrated temperature-controlled logistics services, has announced plans to set up a new cold storage facility in Patna under a Built-to-Suit (BTS) model developed by the Nahar Group. The facility, expected to become operational by January 2027, will have a capacity of 6,500 pallets and support temperature ranges from -25°C to +20°C. It will cater to a wide range of sectors, including seafood, ice cream, quick-service restaurants (QSR), fruits and vegetables, and pharmaceuticals.
Chairman Prem Kishan Dass Gupta stated that Bihar represents an important market for Snowman as the company expands into emerging consumption centers across eastern India. He noted that improving infrastructure, strong agricultural production, and rising demand for temperature-controlled supply chains present significant opportunities for cold chain development in the state. The Patna facility is expected to serve not only Bihar but also act as a regional hub, enabling efficient distribution of temperature-sensitive products to neighbouring markets.
The upcoming facility further strengthens Snowman’s commitment to expanding India’s cold chain infrastructure. The company currently operates 160,230 pallet positions across 22 cities, including major logistics hubs such as Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, and Pune, and the Patna project marks another step in its growth strategy.
