Kosol Energie Goes Big: ₹90,000 Cr for a Greener India

Kosol Energie, an Indian solar manufacturing and EPC company, has committed ₹90,000 crore towards renewable energy projects under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2026.

The MoU, signed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, covers investments in solar manufacturing, green hydrogen, and green ammonia projects. Under the agreement, Kosol plans to set up solar module manufacturing units, research and development centres, large-scale renewable energy parks, and integrated green energy ecosystems across Gujarat.

The proposed projects are expected to generate over 100,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, further strengthening Gujarat’s position as a major renewable energy hub. Commenting on the development, Kalpesh Kalthia, Chairman and Managing Director of Kosol Energie, stated that the company views renewable energy as a critical driver of energy security and economic growth.

The investment aligns with India’s broader clean energy goals, including the target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel power capacity by 2030.
