Krebs Bio-Chemicals Unveils API Powerhouse in Andhra Pradesh

Krebs Bio-Chemicals & Industries Limited is venturing into a significant initiative by establishing an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) manufacturing unit in Regadichelika, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, with a total projected cost of 49.86 crores. The comprehensive project allocation includes significant investments in land acquisition, cutting-edge machinery, building construction, and a dedicated green belt area promoting environmental sustainability.

The project encompasses the utilization of 83.79 acres of the company's land, aiming to equip the facility with advanced machinery valued at ₹10.5 crores for API production. Additionally, construction of new buildings, costing 5.94 crores, will accommodate manufacturing operations. Emphasizing environmental responsibility, the initiative allocates 23.0 acres of existing land and an additional 4.6 acres for a green belt adorned with native trees, contributing to a greener landscape.

Power supply arrangements include sourcing primary power from APEPDCL, fortified by backup DG sets to ensure uninterrupted operations. The project's anticipated benefits encompass boosting domestic API production, job creation for the local economy, and a commitment to environmental sustainability through the green belt initiative.

Moreover, the project signals the company's future growth plans by proposing a change in product mix and expansion within the existing premises, indicative of Krebs Bio-Chemicals & Industries Limited's vision for sustained development and progress.

As on December 2023, The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances.
