The Krishanakanth Agro Process Limited is considering the possibility of constructing an all-new captive power plant in the city of Sangli, which is located in the state of Maharashtra in India.
The sugar mill and other industrial units situated in the nearby region will have their power requirements met by the project once it has reached its objective of producing 20 megawatts (MW) of electricity, which will be utilized for that purpose.
A captive power plant is the kind of facility that will be built for this project.
Twenty megawatts of electricity are the maximum output that the project is capable of.
The price tag for the project is estimated to be 200 crores.
As on November 2023, The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances. By the end of the year 2023, development on the project will have begun.
