Kritika Steels Private Limited's Integrated Steel Unit Project in Kopidih, Chhattisgarh, marks a significant expansion into the steel manufacturing sector. With an investment of ₹325 Crores, the project demonstrates a substantial commitment to regional industrial growth.
The integrated nature of the project encompasses a Sponge Iron Plant with a capacity of 198,000 Tonnes Per Annum (TPA) and a TMT Bar Mill capable of producing 33,000 TPA. This holistic approach allows Kritika Steels to streamline production processes and ensure quality control from raw material to finished product.
The Sponge Iron Plant serves as a crucial precursor to steel production, utilizing iron ore and coal to produce sponge iron through reduction processes. This ensures a steady supply of raw material for downstream manufacturing activities.
On the other hand, the TMT Bar Mill specializes in producing Thermo Mechanically Treated bars, essential components in construction projects known for their strength and durability. This forward integration enables Kritika Steels to cater to diverse market demands efficiently.
The project's significance extends beyond enhancing steel production capacity in Chhattisgarh. It is expected to foster regional industrial development and create job opportunities throughout the construction and operational phases, contributing to socio-economic growth in the area.
