KVRR Infrastructure has emerged as the lowest bidder for a contract involving handling, transportation, and allied mining services at the Gauri-Central (Gauri Deep) open cast mine located in the Ballarpur Area.
The project scope primarily includes the removal of all categories of overburden materials, including hard overburden strata, through large-scale mining operations. The contract requires the deployment of heavy earthmoving machinery (HEMM) such as excavators, tippers, drills, dozers, and graders for excavation, loading, transportation, and dumping activities.
The assignment will be executed over a period of two years and is intended to support uninterrupted and efficient mining operations at the site. The project is also expected to ensure continued coal production while maintaining compliance with operational safety and environmental standards.
KVRR Infrastructure secured the contract with a bid value of approximately Rs 126.7 crore for the tender issued by Western Coalfields Limited (WCL). The development highlights the continued role of specialised infrastructure and mining service providers in supporting large-scale open cast coal mining operations across the region.
