Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is set to establish a Global AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India, aimed at supporting its customers worldwide. The centre will focus on AI consulting, solution roadmaps, and deployment services, and is expected to hire over 1,000 highly skilled professionals by the end of fiscal year 2026.
Sumir Bhatia, President of Lenovo ISG for Asia Pacific, revealed that an AI Innovation Center will launch in Bengaluru later this year. “Customers and partners will be able to visit, run proof-of-concepts, and test various applications,” he said. “It’s not just about showcasing cutting-edge hardware—it’s about enabling access to labs, collaboration with our technology ecosystem, and supporting the full stack from devices to infrastructure.”
The initiative comes on the back of strong momentum for Lenovo in India. In FY25, the company’s revenue in the country surged 67% year-on-year to $3.4 billion. Lenovo now commands an 18.9% share of the domestic PC market and continues to scale its "Made in India" efforts, having produced 12 million products and exported components worth ₹18,000 crore in 2024.
The new AI centre underscores Lenovo’s commitment to India as a strategic hub for innovation, talent, and global technology leadership.
