Logistics Giant Mahindra Drives Growth with Pune Mega-Warehouse

Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL) announced on Tuesday its ambitious initiative to construct a state-of-the-art warehousing facility in Phaltan, near Pune, with a substantial investment of Rs. 170 crore.

The upcoming facility, spanning an extensive 6.5 lakh square feet (sq ft), will be developed in two phases. The initial phase, encompassing 3.5 lakh sq ft, is expected to be operational by the end of 2024, as outlined in the company's official statement.

The primary objective behind this strategic move is for Mahindra Logistics to optimize its capabilities in overseeing inbound logistics, particularly for manufacturing and distribution solutions. The facility is designed to cater to a diverse clientele in the automotive and manufacturing sectors located in the region.

This significant investment of Rs. 170 crore, to be executed in multiple phases by the company and its partners, underscores a resolute commitment to the comprehensive development of the new facility and its associated infrastructure.

Rampraveen Swaminathan, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Logistics Ltd (MLL), expressed, "In our pursuit of enhancing capabilities and meeting the escalating demand, we are strategically expanding our multi-client warehousing network throughout India. The latest addition in Phaltan is poised to play a pivotal role in augmenting the overall business ecosystem for our esteemed clientele in the region."
