"Lord's Legacy: AP to Build Venkateswara Temples with New Trust"

The Andhra Pradesh government will establish a trust to raise funds for constructing Venkateswara temples across the state and in other state capitals, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced on Friday.

Speaking in Tirupati after visiting the Tirumala temple with his family, Naidu said the initiative follows the TDP government’s earlier Anna Danam and Prana Danam programs. "This trust will be dedicated solely to temple construction and the service of the Lord," he stated.

He assured that funds would be utilized systematically and that the government would reclaim illegally occupied temple land in Tirumala. Reaffirming that all seven hills belong entirely to Lord Venkateswara, Naidu stressed that the sacred area should not be used for commercial purposes.

The Chief Minister announced the revocation of permissions granted by the previous government for commercial ventures near the hills, including 35.32 acres allocated to Mumtaz, Emaar, and Devlok hotels, to preserve the temple’s sanctity.

He also mentioned an ongoing purification process, continuing the efforts of the past five years to safeguard Tirumala’s spiritual significance.
