L&T Charges Ahead: A New Era of Industrial Electronics Begins

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has entered the industrial electronics segment with the launch of a new business vertical, L&T Electronic Products & Systems (LTEPS).

The company has begun manufacturing operations at its Coimbatore campus in Tamil Nadu, while the new division will be headquartered in Bengaluru. In the initial phase, two manufacturing lines have been commissioned to provide electronics manufacturing services (EMS) to both domestic and international clients.

Leveraging its experience in strategic electronics, L&T aims to design and manufacture industrial electronic products across key segments such as power electronics, mobility solutions, industrial robotics and automation, communication platforms, and electronics systems design and manufacturing (ESDM).

The business will adopt a hybrid model that combines in-house research and development, technology partnerships, and advanced testing capabilities to deliver market-ready solutions. Going forward, L&T plans to scale up LTEPS operations across a 40-acre zone within its Coimbatore campus, covering the entire value chain—from R&D and product development to contract manufacturing and validation services.

This expansion positions L&T to tap into the rising demand for industrial electronics while strengthening its footprint in high-tech manufacturing and engineering solutions.
