Luminous Power Technologies has secured orders to set up 350 MW of solar power projects in Rajasthan under the PM-KUSUM scheme, with installations scheduled to commence in early 2026. The projects will generate clean energy to be supplied to local distribution companies, supporting rising power demand while lowering environmental impact.
Once operational, the solar plants are expected to produce approximately 500–560 million units of electricity annually. This generation could help offset an estimated 4.02–4.59 lakh tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year, which is equivalent to planting around 19–22 million trees.
Preeti Bajaj, CEO and Managing Director of Luminous Power Technologies, described the development as a major milestone for the company. Launched in 2019, the PM-KUSUM scheme targets the addition of 34,800 MW of solar capacity by March 2026, advancing India’s renewable energy objectives and promoting sustainable growth in agriculture and rural regions.
