Maersk heats up Gujarat's cold chain race with Rs 113 crore HyFun Foods deal

Global logistics operator Maersk is set to enhance its cold-chain logistics capabilities with the construction of a new facility in the Mehsana district of Gujarat. Spanning over 260,000 sq. ft., the facility is exclusively dedicated to HyFun Foods and will attract investments totaling Rs 113 crore.

Situated within the Fanidhar Mega Food Park, the facility, boasting 14,700 pallet positions, is poised to become one of India's largest single-shed cold stores. Its strategic location in proximity to the customer's manufacturing unit positions it as the primary cold store facility.

This expansive facility consolidates cargo storage into a single location, eliminating the need for multiple smaller facilities before dispatch. Specializing in temperature-controlled storage solutions, it adheres to the highest standards of temperature compliance. The facility is equipped with a customized racking system tailored to meet the precise requirements of customers, leveraging modern technology to ensure operational accuracy.

For HyFun Foods, Maersk's comprehensive single-window solution for the entire cold chain logistics, coupled with the new cold store facility, streamlines supply chains. This revamped supply chain model serves as the backbone for the efficient movement of processed food, providing a simplified and robust solution.
