Mahalaxmi Buildwell India planning to set up Hotel Project in Uttarakhand

Mahalaxmi Buildwell India Private Limited intends to construct a new hotel on Dehradun's Rajpur Road. The hotel will be a 5-star premium property with commercial space. The project was authorized by Uttarakhand's State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC) in January 2023. However, the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) halted building of the hotel in February 2023 for violating statutory criteria.

 The MDDA claimed that the developers began building work without first obtaining no-objection certificates from six separate departments. Since then, the developers have filed the necessary documentation to the MDDA and are awaiting authorisation to resume building. The project's progress is unknown as of September 22, 2023. I'll keep an eye on this initiative and keep you updated as new information becomes available.

As of September 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started the work on the project will be finished in 2024, 2025 or 2026 It has been decided to hire a local contractor.
