Mahanadi Aban Power Company Plans Coal Based Power in Odisha

The Mahanadi Aban Power Company Limited is considering constructing a new coal-fired power station with a capacity of 515 megawatts (MW) at the Angul site in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. The project's goals are to satisfy the ever-increasing demand for energy in the state and to add to India's overall capacity for power production.

The capacity of the project is 515 megawatts of power. 8240 Crores rupees spent on the project.

As on November 2023, The project is currently in the stage of being approved currently awaiting approval from the government.
