Maharashtra's Mega Cloud Injection: AWS Drops $8.2 Billion

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced an $8.2 billion investment in Maharashtra by 2030 to strengthen cloud technology and management solutions in India.

A delegation led by Sandeep Dutta, AWS President for India and South Asia, met with Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss the initiative. As part of this investment, AWS plans to deploy advanced GPUs and high-performance computing infrastructure, fostering job creation and supporting India's growing digital economy and AI adoption.

"The Amazon Web Services team met today and shared their investment plan of approximately $8.2 billion in Maharashtra over the coming years… They are highly optimistic about growth in India," the Minister stated.
