The Maharashtra government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with real estate major Prestige Group for investments exceeding ₹12,500 crore in logistics hubs, data centres, and Global Capability Centre (GCC) parks across Navi Mumbai and surrounding regions.
The investment includes ₹5,000 crore for developing a large-scale data centre campus in Taloja, featuring integrated commercial and residential facilities. Set to begin in 2026, the project is expected to generate 1,200 direct jobs. Another ₹5,000 crore will go towards establishing a 100-acre GCC park in Navi Mumbai, projected to create 5,000 direct employment opportunities. Additionally, over ₹2,500 crore will be invested in a mega logistics and industrial park in Khalapur, likely to generate 2,500 jobs.
Kaustubh Dhavase, Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister, described the partnership as a key step in Maharashtra’s pursuit of growth in emerging sectors. Zayd Noaman, Executive Director at Prestige Group, stated, “Our focus on logistics, data centres, and GCC parks aligns with the State’s strategic priorities and will drive transformative growth.”
The collaboration is expected to attract significant global capital, enhance the state’s competitiveness, and reinforce Maharashtra’s position as a hub for next-generation infrastructure.
