Mahindra’s Mega Move: ₹15,000 Cr Plant Secured in Maharashtra

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is one step closer to setting up its largest automotive manufacturing plant in Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has offered the initial 500-acre land parcel at the Additional Butibori Industrial Estate for ₹440 crore, requiring an initial payment of ₹110 crore within 15 days.

This allotment is part of M&M’s massive ₹15,000 crore investment, which will eventually span 1,500 acres once MIDC secures the remaining land. Designed to support M&M’s next-generation platforms like NU-IQ, the facility will feature an annual production capacity of 5,000,000 vehicles and 100,000 tractors for both local and export markets. The hub will be complemented by a 150-acre supplier park in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, adding to M&M’s existing manufacturing presence in Hingna, Nagpur.
