Mak Leon Organics Private Limited has begun work on a new formaldehyde and resins project in Manakpur, Yamunanagar, Haryana. The project is still in the planning stages, however it will produce 200 TPD of formaldehyde and 25 TPD of resin/glue. Formaldehyde is a versatile industrial chemical that is used to make a variety of products such as resins, plastics, adhesives, and plywood. Resins are utilized in many industries, including building, automobiles, and packaging.
The project is projected to generate job opportunities and benefit the local economy. However, there are some reservations regarding the project's environmental impact. Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen, and its manufacture can result in the release of hazardous chemicals. Mak Leon Organics Private Limited has stated that it will take all essential steps to reduce the project's environmental impact. The Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change has also granted the corporation environmental clearance. Overall, the initiative is viewed positively for the region. However, it is critical to monitor the project's environmental impact and guarantee that the corporation complies with all environmental rules.
As of September 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started the work on the project will be finished in 2024, 2025 or 2026 It has been decided to hire a local contractor.
